Music career

Calvin was the third member to join boyband Fahrenheit in 2005. Together, with 3 other group members, they are the most successful Taiwan boyband after F4, conquering the hearts of those in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Canada, US, UK, Vietnam etc. He represents Warm Spring, at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. He also represents Handsome.

It isn't only his smile the melts the heart of those who meet him, but his voice also. His voice stops beats and breaths, sending shivers down our spines as we focus on that soothing voice in the background. Calvin's voice is a baritone to tenor and is therefore one of the more predominant in most of their songs. If it so happens that another member was away, he would take over.

In the X-Family soundtrack, his solo titled 你是我所有的回憶 or You Are All My Memories left lasting impressions amongst the audience as his soothing smooth voice perfected the pain and sadness the song conveys.

Calvin also proved everyone that he can rap too. On Fahrenheit's 2nd album, Calvin sung the rap part of the song 心裡有數. He also sung his own version of 超喜歡你[4] on his 2010 series 愛似百匯. Not only that, Calvin did beatboxing on their Fahrenheit Fantasy Concert Tour.

Publication

On 21 May 2011, Calvin Chen released his solo photo book The Incredible Journey of Calvin Chen. (逆向旅程:辰亦儒溫哥華留學記) The book talks about Calvin's life in Canada as a student as well as his path to fame as the Sunshine Boy. 2 versions of the book were released, one comes with a DVD and the other is just the book.
